The Rural Electric Youth Tour embodies the cooperative principles in action - civic participation and engagement. This year, electric co-ops are sending a record number 1,462 high school juniors and seniors to participate in Youth Tour in Washington, DC, June 9-15. More than 40,000 students from rural areas and small towns throughout America have participated in this unique program since its inception in the early 1960s.
