Shopify Ecommerce Shop - Kottura Innovations
My Role: As a trusted Shopify Partner, I took charge of developing and marketing the new e-commerce shop.

Project Description: Following a successful Kickstarter campaign, Kottura Innovations recognized the need for an online presence to attract new customers. In response, I developed their website, set up shipping and fulfillment operations, and devised an online marketing strategy.

Before creating the e-commerce shop for Kottura Innovations, I worked closely with the founders to understand their products and unique selling points. Our main challenge was effectively showcasing products with interactive features and augmented reality experiences. To address this, I proposed a website structure with three main sections. The first section housed the shop, where customers could browse and purchase cultural products. The second section focuses on their accompanying Kottura ART app, featuring video examples of the technology in action. We also included an explainer video on every product page. Finally, to highlight their dual identity as a cultural and technology company, we added a blog section for sharing insights and discussing their creative process.
The founders observed that many small businesses needed to adjust their shipping rates for customers, resulting in high shipping costs. They wanted to avoid this issue for their customers, so I collaborated to develop a flexible shipping cost structure that could adapt to their different products. We configured the Shopify shipping app to automatically adjust box sizes and shipping rates based on the items in the customer's cart, effectively lowering the shipping price and customizing it to the customer's order. Another challenge we addressed was the variety of shipping scenarios, including products shipping from different locations, manufacturers, and free local store pickups. I considered all three scenarios when creating the shipping rules.

As a new company, it was crucial to build trust with potential customers. To accomplish this, I devised a comprehensive marketing strategy that focused on three main areas: creating organic social media content, running digital and social ads, and implementing inbound email marketing. Each of these strategies was aimed at engaging with potential customers and building a strong brand presence.
To promote organic content, we created engaging images and videos for social media and long-form blog posts. For digital and social ads, we focused on Instagram and Facebook ads using posts and Reels, Google Search Ads, geo-location advertising, product retargeting ads, and YouTube commercials.

Additionally, we expanded their email lists by implementing abandon cart campaigns, newsletter email funnels, and loyalty rewards programs. This helped build a loyal customer base and establish the company as a trustworthy brand. Each of these strategies aimed to engage with potential customers and build a strong brand presence.
